Florida Atlantic University’s Lifelong Learning Society Jupiter will present a lecture by Ambassador Ken Adelman on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 2:30 p.m. in the Lifelong Learning Society complex at FAU’s John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter.

Adelman’s lecture, “Leadership Lessons for the New President,” will include personal stories of how our best U.S. presidents, through the ages, offer leadership lessons to the new president assuming office in January. The presentation will include a multimedia presentation with photos and videos.

Adelman was director of the U.S. Arms Control Agency for U.S. President Ronald Reagan during the 1986 Reykjavik summit and accompanied Reagan at three superpower summits. He also served as a U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and assistant to the U.S. secretary of defense. His most recent book, the highly acclaimed “Reagan at Reykjavik: Forty-Eight Hours that Ended the Cold War,” is being turned into an HBO feature film starring Michael Douglas as Reagan.
