“We offer sincere thanks to Paul Tanner as he leaves FAU’s Board of Trustees after five years of highly effective service to his alma mater,” said FAU President John Kelly. “We applaud the reappointment of Bob Stilley to another five-year term on the board, and we welcome newly appointed trustee Shaun Davis. We’re very fortunate to have the guidance of business leaders of their stature, experience and commitment as FAU moves forward.”

Davis is the managing partner of S. Davis & Associates, PA. He previously served as chair and treasurer of the United Way of Broward County and the Urban League of Broward County. Davis received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University.

“I am excited to be a member of the Board. The University is doing great things and I’m looking forward to working with my fellow Board members to be a part of its continued growth and development.  It is, indeed, an honor and a privilege to serve the University, its faculty and, most of all, its students,” said Davis. “I have always believed in giving back to the local, national and global communities and what better way to do that than by helping to foster quality higher education. I hope that, in my role, I can help give all students wanting to attend college the opportunity to do so in an intellectually challenging environment which is also safe and nurturing, regardless of their socio-economic status, race, gender or sexual orientation.”

Robert Stilley has served on the Board since 2006. He is the president and chief executive officer of HeartCare Imaging, Inc., bringing more than 20 years experience in the diagnostic imaging and cardiology industries to HCI. He currently serves as a board member of the Jupiter Medical Center and the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution Foundation. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida.

“During my tenure on the FAU Board of Trustees I’ve been fortunate to work with dedicated board members, exceptional faculty and talented administrators to help FAU grow into a world-class institution,” said Stilley. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve another five years and look forward to being part of FAU’s pursuit of excellence.”

FAU’s Board of Trustees are a 13-member group responsible for cost-effective policy decisions appropriate to the University’s mission, the implementation and maintenance of high-quality education programs, the measurement of performance, the reporting of information and the provision of input regarding state policy, budgeting and education standards.
