 Krisztina Kover 
Krisztina Kover serves as full-time faculty member in the area of keyboard studies and as collaborative artist in the area of choral and vocal studies in the Department of Music at Florida Atlantic University. She is the collaborative pianist for the FAU Chamber Singers and students in the applied voice and graduate conducting studios of Dr. Patricia P. Fleitas. A native of Hungary, Kover holds a bachelor of music degree in piano performance and piano pedagogy from the Béla Bartók Music Conservatory of Miskolc University where she graduated summa cum laude. In 2005 she received the Master of Arts in piano performance with honors from FAU, under the tutelage of Dr. Heather Coltman. She is the recipient of the Graduate Student in Excellence Award (2004-2005) and is also cited in the The Chancellor’s List, 2004-2005, the highest academic honor to America’s Outstanding Graduate Students. Ms. Kover has performed in Hungary, Austria, Italy, Latvia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, and the United States. While at FAU, Kover had the opportunity to work as assistant director of Teaching Outstanding PerformerS (TOPS) summer music camps for three consecutive years and remains active as one of its piano instructors. Ms. Kover was the pianist for the Florida All-State Women’s Chorus at the 2008 Annual Florida Music Educators Association In-Service Clinic and Conference in Tampa, Florida. She had the privilege of collaborating under the direction of renowned conductors for the Florida ACDA Intercollegiate Honor Chorus at the 2005, 2006 and 2007 state conferences. Kover has also collaborated as rehearsal pianist for the FAU Symphony Chorus in preparation for performances of choral master works with the Palm Beach Symphony. She has had the opportunity to perform Béla Bartók's Duke Bluebeard's Castle - a concert version of Bartók's dramatic one-act opera with Dean Peterson, bass and Birgit Fioravante, soprano also serve as musical director and Hungarian coach. In the beginning of 2013, she was invited by Omaha Opera, Nebraska to serve as rehearsal pianist and Hungarian language coach working with Samuel Ramey, bass and Kara Shay Thompson, soprano under the direction of Hal France. This November, Kover will have the opportunity to record a CD with Matthew Daniels, baritone by Emeritus Recording Label, the album titled as American Songscape: A Collection of American Art Songs featuring the works of composers Sy Brandon, David P. Rossow, and Jocelyn Hagen. A performer and educator of equal rank, Ms. Kover is a sought after collaborative pianist and maintains an active private piano studio in the South Florida region.
