FAU to Host 2011 State of the University Address
BOCA RATON, FL (September 2, 2011) – Florida Atlantic University President Mary Jane Saunders will deliver the 2011 State of the University address, themed “FAU at 50: Looking Back on a Half-Century of Progress, Looking Ahead to a Limitless Future,” on Wednesday, September 7, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center Auditorium, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.
FAU is celebrating its 50th anniversary throughout 2011. In her address, Saunders will recall some of the high points in the university’s history, review events of the past year and discuss ways in which FAU will deal with opportunities and challenges in the coming year. She will be introduced by Board of Trustees Chair Robert Stilley
Press seating will be available. In addition, there will be an opportunity for media interviews with the president immediately following the address.
