FAU Presents ‘The Demonic and the Divine’ Piano Duo Concert
BOCA RATON, FL (March 8, 2012) –Florida Atlantic University’s department of music in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters will present a concert with the world renowned Duo Turgeon titled "The Demonic and the Divine" on Saturday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in the University Theatre, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.
Duo Turgeon are artists in residents at FAU who will present an evening of duo piano favorites including the South Florida premiere of Franz Liszt's Sonata in B minor in a recently discovered version for two pianos by Camille Saint-Saens.
Duo Turgeon have been named one of the top piano duos of our time. They have given hundreds of performances, including a European debut at the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, and a New York debut at Weill Recital Hall. Duo Turgeon appear on seven compact discs and were featured in the PBS documentary, “Two Pianos – One Passion.”
