to Host Lou Kushnick as part of its Distinguished
Scholars Series

Education will host a presentation by Lou
Kushnick, professor emeritus of race relations
at
the University of Manchester, England.
The presentation, titled “Structural Racism:
Education, Health,
Housing and Prisons,”
is
offered as part of the College’s Distinguished
Scholar Series.

In his lecture, “Structural Racism: Education, Health,
Housing and Prisons,” Lou Kushnick will focus on the
nature, impact and implications of racial inequalities for the
United States. He will address disparities in educational
attainment, health outcomes, housing equality and rates of
imprisonment. Kushnick also will discuss the links between
structural racism and common sense, as well as personal racial
attitudes in the United States and the United Kingdom.
