FAU’s Anne and Louis Green Memory and Wellness Center Offers Free Seminar on Dementia

            BOCA RATON, FL (October 16, 2008) – Florida Atlantic University’s Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center will host a free “Brain’s Gain” mini-seminar on age-related memory loss on Saturday, October 25 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.   The Memory and Wellness Center at FAU is located on the north end of the Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.

As a part of National Make a Difference Day, FAU’s Memory and Wellness Center will offer information on brain health and memory disorders. This informative program will point out ways to reduce the risks for dementia and share tips to keep the brain healthy.

            Designed by Anna Lisa Curtis, an FAU honors scholar studying psychology and multimedia journalism, the mini-seminar will include lectures by performance enhancement specialist Kim Pace, M.S., and by Denise Sparks, Ph.D., director of the center.
