FAU Jupiter Hosts Writer/Biologist Robert Michael Pyle

Author to Speak on the Disconnect between Young People and Formative Experiences in Nature

WHAT:            FAU Jupiter and the Scripps Howard Institute on the
                        Environment present Dr. Robert Michael Pyle, who will
                        speak on “Frogs, Forts and Fritillaries: The Real World as
                        Antidote to the Extinction of Experience.”

Robert Michael Pyle is an award-winning writer, independent biologist and distinguished alumnus of Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.   He has authored 15 books, including Wintergreen, The Thunder Tree, Chasing Monarchs and the Audubon Society’s Field Guide to North American Butterflies.   Pyle won the 2007 National Outdoor Book Award for natural history literature.

             This lecture is sponsored by the Scripps Howard Foundation and coordinated by FAU’s School of Communication & Multimedia Studies in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters.
