FAU’s Department of
Theatre and Dance Presents ‘Art’
BOCA RATON, FL (September 21, 2009) – Florida
Atlantic University’s department of theatre and dance in the
Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters will present Yasmina
Reza’s ”Art” from Friday, October 2 through
Sunday, October 11 in Studio One Theatre on FAU’s Boca Raton
campus, 777 Glades Road. General admission tickets are

performance.
In “Art,” an all-white painting pits three old friends against one another, questioning the true meaning of art, friendship and individuality. One of Marc’s best friends, Serge, has just bought a very expensive painting. It’s all white with white diagonal lines. These old friends square off over the canvas, using it as an excuse to batter one another over various failures. This piece was winner of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play.
