FAU to Host Student Leadership
Conference
Former ‘Survivor’
Contestant Chad Crittenden Featured as Keynote Speaker
BOCA RATON, FL (September 11, 2009) – Florida Atlantic University’s second annual Student Leadership Conference will take place on Saturday, September 12 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in FAU’s Student Union, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.
The Student Leadership Conference is designed to help students in the University’s clubs and organizations improve on leadership skills, as well as learn new ways to create and grow a successful organization.
The conference will feature Chad Crittenden, former contestant of the 2004 CBS reality TV show Survivor: Vanuatu – Island of Fire, as its keynote speaker from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the Student Union’s Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium. On an episode of the show, Crittenden shocked viewers when he revealed that he had one leg due to a rare form of cancer that formed below the knee. Crittenden will share his story with FAU students to enforce the importance of keeping a positive attitude and how to thrive from life’s constant challenges.
