FAU Designates September as Safety Month
A Wide Variety of Safety Events to Take Place on FAU’s Treasure Coast Campus
BOCA RATON , FL (September 20, 2007) – Florida Atlantic University has designated September as Safety Month and will host a series of events on the University’s campuses throughout the course of the month. Events will take place September 24-27 at FAU’s Treasure Coast campus, 500 NW California Blvd., Port St. Lucie.
A “Safety Fair” covering topics such as responsible drinking, HIV awareness, flu prevention and hurricane tips will take place Tuesday, September 25 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the JU Courtyard. Other campus safety events will focus on topics such as hurricane preparedness, personal property security, CPR, sexual assault awareness, child safety and wellness tips. FAU students, faculty and staff are encouraged to take part in the festivities.
The Safety Month schedule for other campuses is as follows:
· Boca campus – week of September 4
· Jupiter campus – week of September 10
· Broward campuses – week of September 17
