FAU Names Jennifer Dubuque Assistant Vice President for University Advancement
BOCA RATON, FL (July 29, 2008) – Florida Atlantic University’s division of University Advancement recently named Jennifer Dubuque to the position of assistant vice president. In this role, Dubuque will help institute programs to enhance the University’s fund-raising efforts.
“FAU is most fortunate to have a person of Jennifer’s caliber join the advancement team,” said Randy Talbot, university advancement senior vice president and FAU Foundation executive director. “Her impressive background and experience as a major gifts officer will prove invaluable as the University continues its ascent in the state university system.”
Before coming to FAU, Dubuque served as associate vice president of development at the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Plattsburgh. While at the College, she encouraged alumni to support SUNY’s multi-billion dollar campaign.
From 1997 – 2007, Dubuque worked in development for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. She began as a major gifts officer and in 1999 focused on leadership gifts of $1 million and above. As director of annual giving at Marist College in New York, Dubuque was responsible for all unrestricted gifts to the College. Her first job in the field of fund-raising was as an assistant in the office of annual programs and alumni relations at Albany Law School.
A 1987 graduate of Marist College, Dubuque holds a bachelor’s degree in communication arts. She is a native of Dublin, Ireland.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this growing academic and research institution, and excited about developing new outreach strategies to successfully increase the involvement of FAU’s alumni and friends,” said Dubuque.
