FAU to Host 'Fabulous 4th' Celebration
Festivities include the Musical Revue, 'An American Songbook Revue: Irving Berlin,' a Concert and Fireworks
BOCA RATON, FL (June 26, 2007) – In collaboration with the City of Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University will host a “Fabulous 4 th” celebration on Wednesday, July 4. The festivities will start at 4 p.m. with a special staging of the musical revue, “An American Songbook: Irving Berlin,” followed by food and family entertainment at 6 p.m., a concert of patriotic music by the Florida Wind Symphony at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m. The musical revue, which is presented by the department of theatre and dance in FAU’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, will take place in FAU’s University Theatre and the other festivities will take place on Florida Atlantic Boulevard, just two blocks away from the theatre. Tickets for the revue are $20 (with group prices available), and admission to the other events is free.
FAU’s Boca Raton campus is located at 777 Glades Road, ½ mile east of I-95. To reach the University Theatre, follow the signs to Schmidt Theatre/Gallery. There will also be signs for the concert and fireworks.
