Florida Atlantic University’s department of exercise science and health will host an event on behalf of “Exercise is Medicine” month, an initiative of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Association. An information table will be set-up in the lobby of the Arena, providing information on how to get started with an exercise program, as well as basic guidelines for exercise. In addition, there will be the opportunity to schedule an appointment for fitness testing and exercise prescription. The basic testing and prescription is free to students, faculty, staff and local community members.
