Author Marla Cone is editor-in-chief of Environmental Health News, a foundation-funded, online environmental journalism site. She was previously the senior environmental writer at the Los Angeles Times, where her work as an award-winning journalist helped explain the science behind the risks that pollutants pose to public health, wildlife and ecosystems around the world.
