The 18th annual Wellness Triathlon consists of a quarter-mile swim in the Atlantic Ocean parallel to the beach, as well as a 10-mile flat bike ride and 3.1-mile run along A1A. The event attracts more than 700 participants competing as individuals, or teams of two or three people. Registration can be completed online at www.active.com prior to Friday, April 17 at midnight, or by downloading the registration and consent form and mailing it to Florida Atlantic University, Today & Beyond Wellness, SS-222, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Registration also can be done in person on Saturday, April 18 at the FAU Swimming Pool, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus, from 1 to 5 p.m. There also will be a free race clinic offered at the pool on Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.. All revenue generated from the race will go to support FAU’s Today & Beyond Wellness and programs for the university community.
