Dr. Walid Phares will discuss his new book, “The Confrontation: Winning the War Against Future Jihad,” and offer a strategic plan to gather possible national resources and reconstruct a world front against Jihad terror. Phares is a senior fellow and the director for Future Terrorism Project at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies in Washington, D.C., and a visiting fellow with the European Foundation for Democracies in Brussels. He was a professor of Middle East studies, ethnic and religious conflict within the department of political science at Florida Atlantic University from 1993 to 2006, and continues to be a senior lecturer on the War on Terror for the Lifelong Learning Society program of FAU. Phares will conduct a book signing following the lecture.
