FAU Unveils Updated Experts
Database
FAU Today Site also Offers
Comprehensive University Information
BOCA RATON, FL (March 3, 2011)
– Florida Atlantic University’s faculty and
staff experts who are available for research purposes, as media
sources and are part of a university speaker’s bureau can
now be searched in an updated version of the university’s
online experts database -
www.fau.edu/experts
. This database currently houses profiles of more than
350 faculty and staff members, and contains approximately 2,500
searchable keywords with additions to come.
The experts found within the database cover the full range of the
University’s programs, including the arts and humanities,
medicine and health, science and technology, nursing, business,
education, engineering, computer science, architecture, public
affairs and more. The database has replaced multiple printed
directories, and is a free resource that will be immediately
refreshed as new faculty and staff are added and as areas of
expertise expand.

– is a new valuable web resource that also is
available. A comprehensive information site that showcases
the latest, top news while providing links to a host of other
online destinations, FAU Today features a Faculty Video
Spotlight, the Scene@FAU photo gallery and YouTube videos about
FAU. Pull-down menus and left-column links provide instant
connections to everything from the Calendar of Events to recent
print and broadcast news stories involving FAU.
