FAU Presents a Concert of Violin and Piano

            BOCA RATON, FL (March 5, 2007) – Florida Atlantic University’s School of the Arts presents an afternoon of classical violin and piano on Saturday, March 17 at 3 p.m. at the Harid Conservatory, located at 2285 Potomac Street, Boca Raton. The concert will include FAU faculty Rebecca Lautar, violinist; Edward Turgeon, pianist; and Sandra McClain, soprano.  General admission is $15 at the door.   FAU students, faculty, staff and alumni may obtain free admission with ID.  

            The concert will include a set of songs by American composer Amy Beach, written for voice, violin and piano; Beethoven’s Romance in F Major Op. 50; Schumann’s Sonata No. 1 in a minor Op. 105 for violin and piano and Meditation from Thais; selections from de Falla’s Suite Populaire Espagnole and a sonata for violin and piano, composed by Stuart Glazer.
