She will be introducing the workshop participants to a range of techniques for creating calm and finding peace in everyday life and during crisis.
Participants will receive Eknath Easwaran’s book “The Compassionate Universe: The Power of the Individual to Heal the Environment.” The workshop will take place in the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing Building on FAU’s Boca Raton campus. There is a fee of $10, and pre-registration is required; register at www.fau.edu/peacefulmind.
There will be a follow-up session on Saturday, March 29 from 9:30 a.m. to noon in which participants will come together again to explore how these practices have affected their daily lives. The follow-up workshop will take place in the same location and is free to participants in the March 8 workshop, and $5 to others.
