FAU’s College of Engineering and Computer Science Hosts its First Job Fair
BOCA RATON , FL (February 26, 2008) – Florida Atlantic University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science is hosting its first engineering and computer science job fair. The Engineering and Computer Science’s Spring 2008 Job Fair will take place on Thursday, March 13 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the FAU Live Oak Pavilion on the Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. The event is free and open to students and members of the community that are interested in working in the industry. Business dress is required.
The job fair is an opportunity for FAU engineering and computer science undergraduates, graduates and community members that are interested in this field to network personally with representatives from various companies and organizations. Some of the many employers scheduled to appear at the job fair include Geosyntec, Global Industries Offshore, Keith and Schnars, and Taylor Engineering, Inc.
The engineering career development (ECD) office provides undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Engineering and Computer Science with engineering co-op and internship opportunities. Additionally, the ECD provides students with the opportunity to search for full time and part time jobs through E-TechJobs, an online resume and job posting system that is available specifically for those interested in the fields of engineering and computer science.
