Thousands of family members and friends packed the FAU Arena last month to see more than 1,800 FAU graduates receive diplomas.
An honorary doctoral degree was conferred upon Mirta Ojito (shown above, center, with Student Government President Austin Shaw, left, and President Brogan) a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author and 1986 alumna of FAU. This was also the first commencement ceremony for the University's ninth college—the Charles E. Schmidt College of Biomedical Science.
Congratulations to all of the Fall 2006 graduates!
