As plans develop and employees look ahead to the holidays, here are a few reminders of coming events and closures:
University offices are closed on:
- Thursday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 26
(Thanksgiving Break)
- Monday, Dec. 25, Tuesday, Dec., 26,
Friday, Dec. 29 and Monday, Jan. 1
(Holiday Break)
Spring 2007 classes begin on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007.
From Monday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, all employees may participate in the relaxed comfort of winter break business casual attire. Keep in mind that formal events, activities or meetings would preclude casual dress by some personnel. After Jan. 5, business casual dress days will remain in effect for Fridays and other specially designated days.
Festivities, Events and Graduation
Holiday Open House: President and Mrs. Brogan host their annual Holiday Open House for all members of FAU's faculty and staff on Monday, Dec. 11, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Baldwin House. Stop by and enjoy refreshments, great conversation and music.
Cultural Events: Visit the University's Calendar of Events and attend one of the many FAU-sponsored events.
Graduation: Graduation will be held on Friday, Dec. 8. All ceremonies will be held in the FAU Arena.
The 9 a.m. ceremony features the College of Architecture Urban and Public Affairs, the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College.
The 1:30 p.m. ceremony features the Charles E. Schmidt College of Biomedical Science, the College of Education, the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing and the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science.
The 6 p.m. ceremony features the the College of Business.
