Rear Admiral Julian R. Benjamin:
Judge Advocate General Corps

Rear Admiral Julian R. Benjamin was in the Navy Judge Advocate General Corps. In WW II, he served in Navy Training Schools in Adak, Alaska. He was released from active duty in July 1946 and he continued in the Navy Reserve. He enrolled in the University Miami School of Law and graduated cum laude in 1949. He was admitted to Practice in Florida in the same year.

His Navy Reserve assignments were Commanding Officer; Naval Reserve Law Company 6-3, Miami; Executive Officer, NAVARRA 408, Miami; VTU (Law) 0808, Miami; Volunteer Staff Director, Naval Reserve Law Program, May 1980-May 1984. Transferred to Retired Reserve, June 1, 1984; Retired from the United States Navy on August 24, 1986.

Rear Admiral Julian R. Benjamin received the following awards:
● Legion of Merit
● American Theater Medal
● World War II Victory Medal
● Armed Forces Reserve Medal
● Naval Reserve Medal

Rear Admiral Julian R. Benjamin is a member of many organizations:

● A member of the Naval Order of the United States
● A member of the Military Order of World Wars
● A member of the Military Officers Association of America

● A life member of the American Radio Relay League holding amateur radio license W4RZN

Rear Admiral Julian R. Benjamin was born on August 24, 1926, in Chicago, Il. and he is a resident of South Florida.
