Explores why people often make bad decisions and examines strategies for more effective decision making.  Topics include the nature of decision, logical fallacies that promote poor decision making, the Heath brothers’ WRAP system for avoiding these fallacies, other factors that can complicate decision making, how to reduce the impact of these other factors, the pros and cons of cost-benefit analysis, the Expected Utility Method, Decision Trees, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process.  While copies still remain, the first FAU employees to arrive in person to participate in this workshop at the Boca Raton location (IS 208) will receive copies of Chip and Dan Heath’s Decisive: How to Make Better Choices in Life and Work.  Jeff Buller
