The Eight University Scholars Leadership Symposium 2017 at United Nations in Bangkok, Thailand is open for registration!

We are looking for competent and compassionate student leaders with the following qualities to join us in this Leadership Development in Social Change:

  1. Student Leaders who have demonstrated strong leadership potential and aspire to constantly learn from others to better themselves.
  2. Student leaders who have an open mind and a genuine appreciation for different perspectives and individuals with different backgrounds, interests and ambitions.
  3. Student leaders who show consideration for others and possess an interest to better society.

Is there funding I can apply for through FAU?

Students can apply for a specified amount of travel funding through Student Government, though many of the deadlines for this specific conference have expired according to the Student Travel Policy.

You will work with the Thai consulate in Miami to get your Visa. You can request it in 24 hours but there is a fee. We recommend requesting your Visa two to four weeks in advance from departure. http://www.thaiconsulatemiami.com/

Your passport must not expire six months after the conference ends. This means that your passport cannot expire before January 2017 to attend. You can renew your passport.

The registration fee covers accommodation for six nights, meals (breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks), all of the speakers and workshops, a Learning Journey, airport transfers, local transportation, a T-shirt and a certificate of participation. The registration fee is $990 per person but that does include the group rate.

For American students only there are two scholarships available. The Be Awesome Scholarship which waives the application fee and the Be the Change Scholarship which grants 10% off the registration fee costs.

No, it is not. However, we do have partnerships with select airlines that can grant you up to 20% off of flight costs.
