Becoming civically aware and making a difference in our society happens long before we enter the ballot box. In preparation for participating in the democratic process, and exercising our right to vote, it is critical to learn more about where the candidates stand on specific issues that are important to you, any referendums or prepositions that will also be on the ballot, and encourage others to do the same. In 2016, FAU gained the designation as a "Voter Friendly Campus".
The Voter Friendly Campus designation started in 2016, as a partnership between Campus Vote Project and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), with a goal of helping institutions to develop a plan to coordinate administrators, faculty, and student organizations in civic and electoral engagement.
We hope that the resources on the left are helpful in encouraging you to become engaged in the community around you, to become aware of the issues facing our community, our nation, and our world. For more information on the Voter Friendly Campus designation, please click here.
