Orientation is a structured interactive session that provides new incoming transfer students with the tools, information and resources (catalog) necessary for academic success at FAU. Major university policies and procedures as well as support services are given in a short program offered both during the day and in the evening. As part of orientation, students have an opportunity to meet with an academic advisor to discuss coursework.
Transfer Orientation Dates for Fall 2008 are:
| Tuesday, June 17, 2008 - 5:00 p.m. | Check in at 4:30 p.m. |
| Monday, July 21, 2008 - 9:00 a.m. | Check in at 8:30 a.m. |
| Wednesday, August 20, 2008 - 5:00 p.m. | Check in at 4:30 p.m. |
Day programs run 9 – 10 a.m.
Evening programs run 5 – 6 p.m.
The information received at Orientation is vital to success at FAU. All new students are required to attend a session. Those unable attend a session may complete Virtual Orientation. Students are still required to meet with an academic advisor prior to registering for classes, and provide the advisor with a confirmation letter received upon completion of virtual orientation.
