About the Writing Center
Welcome to the new face of the University Center for Excellence in Writing, the clearinghouse for Florida Atlantic University's Writing Center and the Writing Across the Curriculum program.
The Writing Center opened in 2002, and its highly trained and dynamic staff is devoted to supporting and promoting writing for all members of the FAU community, including undergraduate and graduate students, staff, faculty, and visiting scholars.
Our consultants receive comprehensive training certified by the College Reading & Learning Association, affiliated with the International Writing Centers Association.
Consultants provide a range of free support services to help writers on any writing project (e.g. course papers, cover letters and resumes, articles for publication, letters of intent, and more), and they can assist writers at any point in the writing process (e.g. brainstorming, drafting, revising, etc.).
Our consulting mission is to help writers
become more reflective and self-sufficient crafters of their written work.
