The Career Development Center, located in SR 110, offers quality services and programs designed to educate FAU students and alumni in the career development process. The skills, confidence and knowledge you gain will provide a competitive advantage as you compete in a global society.
Career planning involves several steps which enable you to understand yourself in relation to the changing world of work. It includes acquiring self-knowledge, exploring career options, developing job search skills and creating a plan of action to realize individual career goals.
Career Planning and Education services include:
- Assessments to understand your interests, skills and values, and how they relate to possible career choices
- Assistance with researching occupations, labor market trends and salary information
- Job search skills workshops such as résumé writing, interviewing techniques and networking skills
- Professional employment and internship opportunities
- Graduate and professional school admission advisement
- Entrance to FAU’s annual Career and Graduate School Fairs
- Access to our Career Library which contains study guides and materials for many of the required graduate school required exams, as well as books which focus on the transition from college to career, salary negotiation, and much more
