International Student Health Insurance Requirements

All international students are permitted to enroll at Florida Atlantic University only (FAU) after demonstrating that they hold medical insurance coverage which meets the guidelines set by the Florida Board of Governors Regulation 6.009 and FAU Regulation 4.009. Misrepresenting or willfully failing to maintain appropriate medical insurance coverage will result in serious consequences for the student.

F-1 and J-1 students can comply with this requirements in two ways:

1. Purchase the policy available through Florida Atlantic University or
2. provide proof of acceptable alternate medical insurance plan and completion of the
Alternate insurance Compliance Form.
