Government Shutdown: the impact of the government shutdown in summary: SEVIS and SEVP services will remain active. US consular services will remain open as long as there are funds to support the operations. E-Verify will be unavailable. USCIS services that are fee based will continue (i.e., I-765 or I-539 applications). DOL will not be processing LCA, prevailing wages, or PERM applications. OPT Applicants: The grace period for students who will graduate in the Summer 2013 will end on October 5, 2013 . Applications for OPT must be submitted before that time!
