FAU has switched from TurnItIn to the SafeAssign plagiarism prevention tool.  Like TurnItIn, SafeAssign helps educators prevent plagiarism by detecting unoriginal content in student papers, but unlike TurnItIn there is no licensing fee as it is part of Blackboard.  A pilot study group analyzed the two tools and determined that they provide comparable features.
