This year, FAU enacted steps to block a peer-to-peer file sharing service called AresWarez. The University received numerous requests from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to prevent our users from illegally sharing copyrighted sound recordings. Several other file sharing networks such as Gnutella, Bearshare, and Kazaa have already been blocked.  For more information, visit www.musicunited.org.
