- Open Outlook (XP/2003).
- Select E-mail Accounts... option from the Tools Menu.
The E-mail Accounts wizard will pop up
- Select Add a new e-mail accounts option and click Next >
- Select 'POP3' option as your Server Type and click Next >

Fill out the appropriate Internet E-mail Settings as follows:

User Informaiton Settings: Enter your name and FAU e-mail address (username@fau.edu) in the appropriate field.

Login Information Settings: Enter your User Name (aka FAU NetID) and your MyFAU password.

Server Information Settings: Incoming mail server (POP3) setting tends to vary based on role. If one doesn't work try the other.

Outgoing mail server (SMTP) setting varies depending on whether you are located on or off campus. The SMTP setting is equivalent to the one assigned to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). On campus your ISP is FAU.

- Click Next >
- Click Finished
Your mail will now begin to be downloaded from the server and into you Outllook.
