The FAUNet ID is the account name you will use to login to many of the systems you will utilize in your daily life at Florida Atlantic University. It is a part of your official FAU e-mail address (e.g., FAUNetID@fau.edu). All students, faculty and staff are automatically granted a FAUNet ID and may claim their account by logging into the MyFAU portal. While many online services provided by the University require a separate password, IRM is working to synchronize these passwords while striving to improve the security of the system.

Logging into IRM Services Now Simpler

You can now log into IRM services (MyFAU, network, etc.) using a single username (your FAUNet ID) and single password. To take advantage of this, go into MyFAU (http://myfau.fau.edu) and change your password — that will make it your single password. The updated password will automatically work with the following IRM services:

• All FAU computers in labs, classrooms and offices
• Blackboard
• MyFAU
• E-mail
• FAU network – wired and wireless
• PrintOnline.fau.edu

So change your password now to make computing at FAU easier for you!
 

Password Requirements:

• A password must be at least 8 characters and no more than 30 characters long.
• A password should contain 2 of the following 4 types of characters: uppercase, lowercase, numeric, or symbols.
• A password may not repeat the user's previous password.
• A password should not contain the user's first name, last name, or e-mail address.
• Passwords will expire once a year. Users will be notified via e-mail 30 and 15 days before expiration and may change their passwords any time prior to expiration.
• A user whose password has expired must change his or her password at next login.
• Accounts will now lock out after 10 failed login attempts.
