COSO Annual Budget Process 2017-2018

The Council of Student Organizations on each of FAU's campuses allocates funding to registered student organizations every year. These funds come directly from student Activity and Service Fees. All Registered Student Organizations are eligible to submit an Annual Budget Request. There are limitations on what can and cannot be purchased with these funds. The COSO Annual Budget Request Packet for 2017-2018 will be submitted on OwlCentral. You must be logged in to OwlCentral using your FAUNetID to access the budget packet.

The Boca Raton Campus COSO Executive Board is comprised of one Director, one Associate Director, 2 Assistant Directors, and the Ways and Means Chair from the House of Representatives. The COSO Executive Board will begin reviewing completed budget packets during the MANDATORY budget hearings that an executive board member from your organization MUST attend.

The Jupiter Campus COSO Executive Board is comprised of one Director, one Associate Director, 2 Assistant Directors, one Sports Club Council Chair and the Ways and Means Chair from the House of Representatives. The COSO Executive Board will begin reviewing completed budget packets during the MANDATORY budget hearings that an executive board member from your organization MUST attend.

The Broward Campus COSO Executive Board is comprised of one Director, three non-SG affiliated FAU students, one SG Treasurer and two House of Representatives and/or Senators. The COSO Executive Board will begin reviewing completed budget packets during the MANDATORY budget hearings that an executive board member from your organization MUST attend.

Once all budget hearings have been completed the Board will then vote to approve, deny or amend the proposed budget. ALL student organizations that submit a completed budget packet will be notified of their allocated funds before the end of the spring semester via the FAU e-mail address that has been provided under the contact information. ALL funds are for the 2017-2018 academic year and will not be available for use until approximately mid-July, 2017.
