The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an internationally accepted standard for academic English proficiency required by most American and other English-speaking universities. The test evaluates a potential student’s ability to use English as it is spoken, written, and heard in an academic environment. This exam is a required certification at more than 5000 universities and colleges worldwide. The TOEFL plays a key role in admissions decisions for international applicants.
The TOEFL is also a valuable tool for those who wish to apply for professional certification or licensure to gain marketability in an English-speaking job market.
TOEFL Preparation Courses*
Our TOEFL Preparation classes greatly increase students’ chances of achieving a successful score on the exam. The IEI offers a lower level class for those in Levels 3 or 4 and a higher level class available to those in Levels 4, 5, and 6. By practicing various test questions, analyzing sections of the exam, and learning test-taking strategies, students gain valuable tools for success and approach the exam with greater confidence. In the past four years alone, many of our students have successfully used their scores to complete their admission packages to over 45 universities in the United States.
*You must pass a pre-qualifying TOEFL test, given at the beginning of each term, to take these courses.
