Fall SCH

Florida Atlantic University, the fifth public university in Florida, opened its doors in 1964 with an enrollment of 867 upper-division and graduate students.  In 1984, FAU admitted its charter freshman class of 257, becoming a four-year institution.  In fall 2009, FAU achieved its largest enrollment.  The 27,700 students currently enrolled come from 49 states and 137 countries; 53% are full-time and over 2,500 are first-time-in-college students.
