Applications for Admission for Fall 2024


Requirements

NGP admission requirements:
  • Relevant BS or BA degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, or a related or relevant field
  • Minimum 3.4* GPA (on a 4.0 scale) 
  • Three letters of recommendation, preferably from academic/research advisors
  • The GRE General Exam is not a requirement when applying to the PhD Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP) *If you have taken the GRE General Exam, you can submit your report and scores in the on-line application if you choose to.

* The Admissions Committee considers all aspects of the application, not only GPA, but also what courses an applicant has taken, research experience, letters of recommendation, and the applicant's personal statement. Strong qualifications in some areas may offset weaker qualifications in other areas.

International applicants:
  • Evidence of English proficiency: Unofficial copy of TOEFL score report
  • Course-by-course transcript evaluation which includes a GPA equivalent. A list of approved evaluation agencies can be found here
The deadline for applications and supporting materials for Fall 2024 is December 1, 2023.
We encourage applicants to submit the completed application prior to the December 1 deadline. Applications must include all supporting documentation, and all letters of recommendation must be received by December 1, in order to be sent to the Admissions Committee for review.
