In recognition of the University's reach into the workforce, I have been invited to coordinate efforts with the Housing Leadership Council of Palm Beach County to make FAU employees aware of the important benefits that are offered by the organization. The mission of the HLC is to increase the availability of workforce housing at all income levels throughout Palm Beach County. Through education and advocacy, the Council is committed to promoting, supporting and implementing plans that will help provide attainable workforce housing in every city and in the unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County. As we are all experiencing the impacts of our volatile economy, it is important to have access to information that can assist in providing some level of relief. I invite you to take a moment to visit the HLC website (http://www.hlcpbc.org) to learn of the resources and services offered. If you are interested in participating in workshops on home ownership, grants and subsidy funding assistance, credit repair and mortgage revival, please send a message to AskHR@fau.edu. It will be my pleasure to assist you through this affiliation.
