All Workshops should include an emphasis on:

• Discussion of key polices and regulations
• And should encourage resourceful use of the university Web site

• Negotiating the bureaucracy to get things done effectively
• Administrative computing system and reports
• Effective supervision

II. Academic Affairs:

• What services are included under "Academic Affairs"
• Florida higher education system
• Multi-campus environment - from travel to the cultural differences of the main and partner campuses
• College/campus relationships
• Analyzing data for decision making
• Academic programs and workforce needs
• Personal commitment to the mission - continuing their own learning

III. Student Affairs:

In addition to presenting content, all workshops should incorporate at least one learning activity that applies the content from the workshop to real life situations and fosters and awareness of:

• Juggling multiple projects and priorities, multi-tasking
• Managing time effectively
• Maintaining objectivity in making decisions
• Demonstrating respect for people who are different from oneself
• Working independently and taking initiative
• Working effectively in a complex organizational system
