The following outlines the 2016-17 Bonus Pay program guidelines for all eligible, non-union employees at FAU.
The bonus pay program will constitute a one-time bonus of up to 5%.The university will fund employees charged to E&G; employees funded from other sources, such as Grants and Contracts and Auxiliaries, will need to identify an amount equal to this program for their employees in these categories, as well.In other words, the 2016-17 bonus pay program is for all FAU eligible employees; employees should neither be advantaged nor disadvantaged relative to their source of funding.
Outlined below are the guidelines and eligibility criteria for all AMP and SP employees:
Increases will be awarded based on the employee’s base salary as of October 31, 2016.Because of the need to process the information quickly and accurately, the Human Resources unit will place a moratorium on processing any salary increase to an employee in Workday after November 19, 2016 through December 9, 2016.
Performance reviews in Workday (2016 Employee Performance Review) for each employee will determine the amount of the bonus.Only employees who received a “Meets Expectations”, “Exceeds Expectations” or “Outstanding” rating on their most recent appraisal will be eligible.
It is important to assure that all employees have received a performance review for the 2015-2016 fiscal year. For newer employees who have not been employed for the full year but were hired or promoted into an SP, AMP position prior to April 30 (and are therefore, eligible to receive a bonus amount), supervisors will be able to provide a review and rating based upon experience-to-date. If an employee has been rated “Too New to Rate” in Workday but began their employment or were promoted into a line position on or before 4-30-2016, managers will need to complete a performance review on them immediately. In some cases, that may mean working with a supervisor from another department where this employee worked during the past year. If you have any questions or need assistance in this process, please contact Natalie Manoogian at email@example.com .
Bonuses will be reflected in the employee’s paycheck on December 9, 2016.
For staff, this program also stipulates that, at a minimum, $500 or funds equivalent to the distribution shown below on a full-time base salary (whichever is greater) will be applied.
Out-of-Unit faculty will be rated on the 5-point scale developed by the Office of the Provost.
