Room Self Selection 2014 - 2015
The room selection process will begin on March 10, 2014 and gives you the opportunity to select your room for the 2014 - 2015 academic year. Room Self Selection is available to current residents first and then new students will select their room. Current and new residents who do not participate in selecting their room during this specific time period will still be able to request housing; however, they will be assigned a room according to the date in which they completed a Housing Contract.

IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ROOM SELF SELECTION PROCESS, YOU MUST:
SIGN YOUR CONTRACT AND SELECT YOUR ROOM FOR CURRENT RESIDENTS:
Sign your 2014 - 2015 academic housing contract first and select your room with roommates online via MyFAU prior to 11 p.m. on April 1. Select the Student tab and find the Housing & Residential Life channel where you click Housing Online. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure they coordinate with their roommates of choice prior to selecting their room. If you submit your housing contract after March 10, 2014 you may have a 2 days waiting period before you can select your room. Please follow the steps below to participate in room selection.
SIGN YOUR CONTRACT AND SELECT YOUR ROOM FOR NEW RESIDENTS:
The Room Selection process will begin on March 17, 2014 for new students. It gives you the opportunity to select your room for the 2014 - 2015 academic year. Please follow the steps below to participate in room selection.
ROOM CHANGE PROCESS:
You will be able to make a room change online through your MyHousing tab between April 23, 2014 - April 30, 2014. Every effort is made to assign students according to their indicated preferences; however, preferences are not guaranteed. If your preference is not available, the next closest living style will be assigned. When preferred space is filled, contracts and assignments will not be cancelled and payment will not be refunded. If you are requesting a room change after April 30, 2014 you must submit your room change request online and the Housing Office will review your room change request and try to accommodate your request. If your room change request is not fulfilled before move-in, your Area Office will review the request after move in. Please note there will be a 10-day freeze for room change after move in.
