Living in GPT my freshman year helped me get
acclimated to FAU. Not only did I gain many close
friends, but I also built a sense of community by living
with all other freshmen who were in the same boat as me.
We had the support of each other, whether it came to
finding classes, studying for tests or asking where the
best sushi place was. It made a world of difference
knowing that I could count on my fellow freshmen to help
me out. |

Living on campus is an experience that I really
enjoy for many reasons. It is very convenient for me when
it comes to wake up in the morning to go to class, do my
homework and study. Campus life also allows me to build a
network that I could ever imagine by meeting with new
people such as students, teachers, parents, and others.
It is the best for any student; it will change your
life. |

During my senior year of high school I would have
never pictured myself moving away for college. I did not
think that I would ever feel comfortable living somewhere
in which I would not have any of my family or close
friends nearby. After visiting various schools, FAU
definitely stood out to me and made me change my mind on
attending a college away from home. The residence halls
are clean and well kept. Living on campus has made me
become more independent and engaged in the school. Within
the first six weeks of living on campus I was already
involved with the Summer Programming Committee
(co-chair). Each resident housing tower has many
opportunities in which students can become leaders and
build relationships with one another.
When it comes to waking up for classes, all you
have to do is hop right out of bed and you are at school.
It is convenient, and you do not have to waste time
driving to and from school everyday. I encourage students
to live at least one year on campus. It truly is an
experience you would not want to miss out on! |

I love living on campus. Aside from the fact that
it s convenient, it also allows me to be in the middle of
the action! Typically speaking there is at least one RA
event a night and with FAU s countless clubs and
organizations, the housing lawn is always buzzing with
student laughter and free food. In addition to that, the
customer service provided by the housing staff is
exceptional. My direct supervisor has really provided the
support and input needed to further my growth not only
within housing but also in my personal endeavors. With
everything that I have experienced here at FAU, I can t
imagine living anywhere else. |

Living on campus has allowed me to take control of
my college experience and make it one of a kind. Being a
resident of the University Village Apartments has
introduced me to a unique living community for
upperclassmen, who like myself want to have a unique
college experience. Living in an apartment-style
residence hall is a great opportunity for students to
learn how to manage real-world tasks, such as cooking.
After a long day of classes it is great to be able to
come back and relax in the common room that is right in
the apartment. |

Living on campus has been one of the most amazing
experiences of my life. It placed me at the center of FAU
with all of the resources literally steps away. It
allowed me to create a wonderful network at the
University. It gave me a chance to create my own college
experience, choose my own crowd and make the transition
from high school to college smoother; it also enabled me
to get a job on campus. I strongly recommend that every
incoming freshman spends at least one year living on
campus so hopefully you ll make the decision to live on
campus. If you do, see you there! |
