An important part of the first year of the University Honors Program is the twenty-hour Community Service requirement by which students contribute to growth and development of the South Florida Community. Through the University Honors Student Organization, students in the program organize and take in a number of different community projects. Over the last number of years students have organized a spring trip to Key West, Florida where they take part in beach clean-up efforts. More information will be given on this in the SLS 1501 - Introduction to Academic Life. |
