Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College students and alumni of the Kenan Social Engagement Program attended the Easterseals Florida “12th Annual Get Down to Business Lunch,” thanks to a sponsorship provided by an advisory board member, Ann Marie Rezzonico.

The luncheon held at the Kravis Center in downtown West Palm Beach on Wednesday, Jan. 16, featured keynote speaker Kyle Maynard, the first quadruple amputee to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Aconcagua without the aid of prosthetics.

Easterseals Florida is a national organization that provides community-based services for people with disabilities and a Kenan Social Engagement Program community partner.

In 2018, college senior R.J. Muniz, received a $10,0000 grant from the Kenan Social Engagement Program to help launch his social enterprise, Southpaw Prince, a nonprofit after-school boxing program for at-risk youth.

Following the luncheon, Muniz noted he was both inspired and moved by Maynard's story and thankful for Easterseals Florida support.
