Early Registration for Fall 2017
As part of orientation you will have an advising session with your assigned faculty advisor at which time you will discuss your fall course schedule, transfer work (AP, IB, CLEP, dual enrollment) and any academic questions you may have. After this appointment you will be able to register for classes.
New students entering in Fall have the option of preliminarily registering during the summer for their fall schedule prior to attending the mandatory orientation in August. Please note that it is NOT NECESSARY to enroll prior to the August orientation. We go out of our way to make sure that every Honors College student gets into the courses they need to graduate on time. Keep in mind that even if you choose this option, orientation and the one-on-one advising session with your faculty advisor that is part of it are still mandatory. During this advising session in August, your faculty advisor will review your course selection and ensure it best fits your needs. If you do not attend orientation and the advising session you may be administratively dropped from your early registration courses.
If you would like to get a head start on the registration process you may contact the Director of Academic Support Services at firstname.lastname@example.org
. Prior to doing so, make sure you read through the information and links below and at the 'Registration Instructions' tab, and include in the email your Z number and your intended concentration if you already know it, or indicate that you are undecided. Once we have approved your schedule submitted on the form we provide, you will be given the permission to register for your fall courses. In order to do so, you must not have any registration holds other than Orientation holds (OR/OT) which we will release once your schedule is approved, so make sure to log on to MyFAU
and check for holds (here is a list of common registration holds).
