?Question Corner?

What is the difference between an MHA and an MBA?

Answer:  MBA programs tend to provide a general management core followed by courses specializing in health care.  The MBA prepares more generally in business and thus has fewer health care specific courses than the MHA.

MHA  programs tend to provide health care content throughout the program. The MHA is ideal for people with a health care background who want to specialize in health care administration at a masters level.

It is a good idea to consider the type of organization where you would like to work and investigate whether such organizations prefer one of the above degrees.
