The community is invited to attend the Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute  2020 Indian River Lagoon (IRL) Symposium poster session on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., or the final technical sessions on Friday, Feb. 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Johnson Education Center Auditorium, 5600 U.S. 1 North, Fort Pierce.

The 2020 Symposium, “Reassessing IRL Diversity,” will address changes in the IRL’s biodiversity since the Indian River Lagoon National Estuarine Program (IRLNEP) released the initial Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan following a 1994 conference. The findings were published in a 1995 dedicated issue of theBulletin of Marine Science

FAU Harbor Branch researchers and others will present their findings since and discuss the gaps in our knowledge at the time during the 2020 Indian River Lagoon Symposium scientific-technical sessions on Thursday, Feb. 13, in addition to the sessions open to the public on Friday, Feb. 14.
